Caregiver Training Program
With an average age of 46.9 years and over 33% of population above 60 years, Japan comprises a rapidly greying population. Increasing rate of elderly people are joining old age homes and nursing care centres, as their own families members face difficulty in taking care of them. Persons licensed to look after the elderly people are called Caregivers and Caregiver Training Programme is a vocational training program. Attending to the elderly people needs with timely support, providing complete professional care is what a caregiver is expected to deliver. According to Ministry of Health, Labor, and Welfare an estimated 500,000 caregivers will be needed in Japan by 2016.
